ONLINE ARABIC COURSES
In an online course, you participate virtually, at a location that works for you.

ONLINE COURSES
In an online course, you participate virtually, at a location that works for you.
Live web-conference Arabic courses.
These online courses meet at a scheduled time weekly, and you participate in class live at that time. Meeting times are listed in course descriptions.
In person with online option.
Some courses that meet in person also have an option to participate online. The lecture videos are videotaped and posted to the the school website within 24 hours of the class meeting. You watch the lectures at your convenience. In this type of course, you may attend class in person, participate online, or do a combination of both.
Online only. These courses meet only online. Although they do not have set meeting times, there is a specific time period for course completion . In lecture-based courses, lecture videos are posted online weekly, and you watch them each week at your convenience.
Scheduled assignments or exams are required for online courses. We recommend you refer to the course website or syllabus when planning your schedule.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
1. Computer minimum specifications:

2. Internet Speeds (download/upload): Minimum 1 Mbps, use a wired connection

(Similar quality USB headsets available, which may be adequate)
We highly recommend the use of a headset with microphone. Do not use the microphone that is built into a laptop or webcam.
4. Video Camera (2 options)
Adequate: Most built-in camera and basic webcams will be fine.
Best: Logitech 930e webcam; a little more expensive but much better video quality.
5. Audio
Your instructor may initially limit your use of video and/or audio until the students are better acquainted with the software. You will always be able to communicate with the instructor and other students using the chat window provided.
